American Flat Track to add children’s area for eight races, Strider Bikes to bring two-wheeled toddler fun to events

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 14, 2017) – American Flat Track (AFT) will bring two-wheeled fun to a new generation of race fans with the addition of the Strider Adventure Zone for children sponsored by Strider Bikes at eight races this season.

Strider Bikes, the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of children’s no-pedal balance bikes, will host the first Strider Adventure Zone at the AFT season-opening Harley Davidson DAYTONA TT presented by Politis & Matovina at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday, March 16.

The Strider Adventure Zone – free to children aged 12 and under – is a ride and play area where children as young at 18 months through five years old can learn to balance and ride on the pedal-less bikes in a safe and friendly environment.

“One of our goals with AFT Events is to make each race entertaining for the entire family,” said Michael Lock, CEO of American Flat Track. “The addition of the Strider Adventure Zone will open up many of our races to a new generation of fans, giving them a taste of two-wheel competition in a fun setting.”

The Strider Adventure Zone will be located in the vendor area at Daytona International Speedway – near the main entryway – and will open on race day at 2 p.m.

American Flat Track will kick off the 2017 season during Daytona’s Bike Week festivities on Thursday, March 16 with the all-new Harley-Davidson DAYTONA TT presented by Politis & Matovina, built inside the tri-oval at Daytona International Speedway. The DAYTONA TT will mark the dawning of a new era for America’s most historic form of motorcycle racing, and the “World Center of Racing” will serve as the first battleground for the great American war between Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycles in 2017. Tickets for the DAYTONA TT are now on sale and can be purchased at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com.
