PINE GROVE, Pa. (Feb. 16, 2017) - Dalton Gauthier, one of the most promising young riders in American Flat Track, has announced that he will be joining forces with Estenson Racing for the 2017 American Flat Track season. Gauthier will be competing in the AFT Singles class, riding Yamaha YZ450s, with engines built by the legendary Woody Kyle.

As a 17-year-old last season, Gauthier finished a solid second in the American Flat Track GNC2 Championship, scoring three wins and nine podiums in 14 races. The wins came on three different track types - DAYTONA Short Track, Arizona Mile and Central New York Half-Mile. Gauthier’s win in Arizona was historic, as it was the first-ever Pro Flat Track win for BMW.

“Last season was great. I rode four different brands, raced lots of tracks for the first time, met some great people and had fun along the way,” said Gauthier, a native of Pine Grove, Pa. “This season will be even better, with support all season from Estenson Racing and fresh Woody Kyle-built YZ450s at every round. I’m going to take it one race at a time, but feel I have as good a shot as anyone at the Championship. I can’t wait for Daytona to get here.”

Gauthier’s dad Marc, a former Speedway racer, will serve as his tuner again this season.

Dalton’s new team, Estenson Racing, is sponsored by Estenson Logistics, Truline, McCandless Trucking, Sleep Wellness Center, Flat Track Live, Woody Kyle Racing, Arai, Saddlemen, Motion Pro, Evans, Lightshoe, Fasthouse, bLU cRU, Spectro Oils and Pro Plates.

Gauthier is an 18-year-old professional Flat Track motorcycle racer from Pine Grove, Pa. He finished second in the 2016 American Flat Track GNC2 Championship.
