JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (February 4, 2021) - The 1st Impressions Race Team is returning to the Progressive American Flat Track series for 2021 and will field a two-rider team in the AFT Singles Class.

Returning for a second year will be Tanner Dean who finished a respectable seventh in the 2020 AFT Singles class with two podium finishes. Dean is a former winner in the class and the team is looking for a solid year from the rider out of Washington state.

"It's going to be a fun season," said Dean. "I really like working with Eric, Sandriana and the entire 1st Impressions Race Team. I am stoked to be coming back for another year. They run a top notch program which enables me to focus on my job as a racer."

Joining the 1st Impressions Race Team for 2021 will be Ryan Wells. Wells is a former champion in the Progressive American Flat Track series, winning the GNC 2 title in 2016. In 2020, Wells had his season cut short due to injury, but earned multiple top-five results and a third place podium finish at Williams Grove Half-Mile I.

"I am amped up to be joining the 1st Impressions Race Team," said Wells. "We have done a bit of testing together and I really like the bikes and working with the crew. Last year was a difficult one, but I am ready to get back to my winning ways in 2021."

Team manager and former professional racer Sandriana Shipman will again be managing the team and has high hopes for this year.

"Tanner and Ryan are both great riders with a lot of enthusiasm," says Sandriana Shipman, Manager of 1st Impressions Race Team. "Both riders have won multiple races in this class, so we know they are capable. As a team, we are very determined for a great season."

Eric Hoyt, Team Owner of 1st Impressions, is an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Hoyt competed in both Go-Kart and Motocross events through his teenage years. He started sponsoring Sandriana Shipman in 2019 as a rider, before hiring her as team manager in 2020.

"It's always been a dream come true of mine to own a race team." says Eric Hoyt, Team Owner of 1st Impressions Race Team. "With the success of my company, 1st Impressions Services of Florida and Floridian Plumbing/HVAC, I have been able to put together a team that is capable of competing against the best Progressive American Flat Track racers in the world. We are looking forward to a great season."

The 2021 season kicks off with a doubleheader weekend at the Volusia Half=Mile in Barberville, Florida on March 12-13.
