Motorcycle riders from around the world make the annual trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota for the incredible riding, rallies and racing. The Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club opened in 1936, with an official American Motorcycle Association (AMA) charter established in 1937. AMA began promoting the racing events that became the now famous Rally in Sturgis on August 14, 1938. That weekend celebration in 1938 had a lineup of only nine racers and a small audience watching the races. Today, however, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Races hosts thousands and is the considered by most to be the experience of a lifetime.

The event is sponsored by Budweiser, Black Hills Harley-Davidson, Boston's Gourmet Pizza, KTMhutt.com, Dunlop and is promoted by Corey Brink Promotions.
