AMA Pro Flat Track 2014 Awards Celebration to be held Sunday, Oct. 12 at the Pomona Mining Company

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 13, 2014) - AMA Pro Racing officials announced today the Pomona Mining Company, in Pomona, Calif., will be the host venue for the AMA Pro Flat Track 2014 Awards Celebration. Following the Flat Track Finals, set to take place on Oct. 11, at the L.A. County Fairplex, the series will meet just a few miles away in Pomona, Calif., on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 12, 2014.

The gathering will commemorate the champion riders and top performers in the Grand National Championship, Pro Singles and Pro Twins competition. In addition to rider awards, top entrants, manufacturers and mechanics will also be lauded, and all AMA Pro Flat Track riders, teams, industry members and officials are invited to attend. Dress will be business casual.

"We are thrilled to conclude our season with a year-end celebration at the Pomona Mining Company," said Michael Gentry, COO of AMA Pro Racing. "Everyone in AMA Pro Flat Track, from top to bottom, has worked extremely hard this season and it's nice to be able to give back, and look back at this very successful season that we've had."

Some of AMA Pro Flat Track's major partners, such as Sunoco, Saddlemen, Cortech and Arai, have graciously contributed to the $29,000 year-end contingency fund as well as an additional $30,000 year-end points fund.

Awards banquet tickets are $25 if purchased by Friday, Sept. 12, and $45 if purchased after. There is limited seating, so participants are encouraged to secure their tickets quickly. The celebration begins with cocktail hour from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. with lunch and awards to follow. Ticket order forms must be received by the AMA Pro Racing offices in Daytona Beach, Fla., no later than Oct. 3. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
