AMA Pro Flat Track and FansChoice.tv announcer, Scottie Deubler, will call X Games Harley-Davidson Flat Track live on ESPN

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 2, 2015) – When flat track makes its X Games debut Thursday, the field will be made of 24 AMA Pro Flat Track riders.

But the riders, and their respective bikes and teams, aren’t the only AMA Pro Flat Track flavor being added to the much-anticipated X Games debut of Harley-Davidson Flat Track. Longtime announcer and former AMA Pro Flat Track rider, Scottie Deubler, will be doing color commentary for the race on ESPN. He’ll be joined by play-by-play announcer Toby Moody. Harley-Davidson Flat Track will help kick off the popular action sports showcase from Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, and it can be seen live starting at 8:30 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. PT).

“I’m super excited,” said Deubler. “I just can’t wait to get down there and see the track and see what this does for the sport of flat track. I think it’s going to bring so much popularity.”

Deubler has been with AMA Pro Flat Track since 2009. He has announced live events since 2003. This season, Deubler moved into the FansChoice.tv broadcast booth alongside seven-time Grand National Champion Chris Carr, who provides color commentary for AMA Pro Flat Track events.

“I’ve been looking forward to something like this since I started announcing, 12 or 13 years ago,” Deubler said. “I hope this is a step in the right direction for me, and I hope I do a good job and make everybody involved in flat track proud of me.”

Deubler’s knowledge of flat track not only comes from a family history in the sport, but from his own riding days. The Oklahoma native sported National No. 43 for multiple seasons on the professional circuit.

As someone who has seen flat track evolve over the years, Deubler is excited about the direction the sport is headed and what inclusion in the X Games could bring.

“I think flat track has been under the radar for a long time,” Deubler said. “I think this can get us up to speed and make us more mainstream. Hopefully it gets more people out to our races and makes superstars out of our riders that are already stars.”

In addition to the live Harley-Davidson Flat Track broadcast, Deubler will also be doing live on-site announcing for Moto X Enduro X, Moto X Style and Speed, Moto X Quarterpipe and Moto X Best Whip.

Deubler will return to the FansChoice.tv broadcast team when the AMA Pro Flat Track season continues on June 20 with the Hagerstown Half-Mile in Hagerstown, Md.
