DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 24, 2014) – AMA Pro Flat Track will return to the Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, Ohio, for the Lima Half-Mile on June 28. Dating back to 1984, with the exception of a couple rainouts, AMA Pro Flat Track has made the trek to Lima to take on the pea-gravel circuit, and the 2014 event should be another weekend filled with exciting racing action.

Kenny Coolbeth has gotten off to a tremendous start to the 2014 AMA Pro Flat Track season. With two wins under his belt through the first four rounds of action, Coolbeth is sitting comfortable atop the overall point standings.

Since joining Zanotti Racing in the offseason, Coolbeth has looked extremely comfortable aboard his Harley-Davidson XR750, and the Morris, Conn., product will look to keep the momentum rolling when he takes to the track at Lima this weekend.

Jake Johnson has been a force on the AMA Pro Flat Track circuit for years. Johnson claimed back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011, and he appears to be on his way to another stellar year in 2014. The 29-year-old Coatesville, Pa., product enters this weekend second in the points and will look to get his first victory at the Midwest venue aboard his Ramspur Winery Ducati.

Sammy Halbert comes into the weekend having won the last two main events at Lima back in 2012 and 2011. Halbert, who sits third in the overall points, looks poised to make it a three-peat performance aboard his South East Harley-Davidson.

Jared Mees is another rider to claim a Lima Half-Mile checkered flag. The win came back in 2005, when Mees was in the midst of just his second full season as a GNC rider. Mees returns to Lima nine years later and long overdue for his next victory at the pea-gravel circuit. Mees will attempt to earn the victory aboard his Rogers Racing Harley-Davidson.

Brandon Robinson has looked solid to begin the 2014 season as the Oxford, Pa., product has succeeded in finishing inside the top ten in every event so far. Robinson will look to improve on his fifth-place position in the points this weekend at Lima aboard his USC Kawasaki.

Defending Grand National Champion Brad Baker hasn’t looked himself for the majority of the season thus far, as he is all the way back at 10th in the points. Baker, mounted on his Factory Harley-Davidson, will be gunning for not only the podium this weekend, but his first win of the season.
