(October 25, 2012) - When Circle Bell Motorsports was formed, the goal was to make California a premier flat track racing destination. We have not shied away from that purpose.

To help the riders make the trek out to the west coast, the Rider Travel Fund (RTF) was created and initially established solely on donations. Thanks to Eddie Mulders efforts to gather memorabilia, we were able to add to it and put on a successful silent auction at the 2012 Sacramento Mile event. With over 30 pieces, fans had several diverse and specialized items available for a bid. The supportive NorCal spectators contributed over $4500 towards the RTF in winning auction bids.

The final Circle Bell Motorsports event of the 2012 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship series was held in Santa Rosa, CA. After a 42 year absence, the CBM crew pulled out all the stops and packed the weekend full of motorsports themed events. Two nights of District 36 Short Track action governed by the dynamite team from the North Bay Motorcycle Club. Iconic motorsports art showcased local wineries at the Wine Country Art & Wine Fest. Our Santa Rosa Mile Grand Marshals; Jim Rice, Mark Brelsford, and Jim Odom, were recognized and honored at the Motion Pro Grand Marshal Dinner attended by various sponsors, riders, and fans of flat track racing. The highlight of the weekend was of course the Sunday GNC race which turned out some spectacular racing competition.

Behind the scenes, the Circle Bell crew was gathering pieces for our last Rider Travel Fund Silent Auction and presented checks from the Sacramento Mile RTF Auction to the riders. We were able able to collect dozens of pieces from many charitable persons. At the finale in Pomona, we were onsite to encourage the fans to support the riders that travel to California for our National events. The fans did not disappoint. The following day at the AMA Pro Flat Track Banquet, we were able to provide another check to the competitors. Each hot shoe extends their appreciation to all involved.
