Indy Mile

The series returns to the storied Indiana State Fairgrounds July 11. The date has changed from previous years, but the race still promises to attract a large, knowledgeable crowd ready to cheer on their heroes.

After an eight-year break, AMA Pro Flat Track returned to Indy in 2008, and since then, no rider has won the race two years in a row. In 2014, Kenny Coolbeth, Jr. stopped Bryan Smith’s bid to do so with a dominant victory.
In GNC2, Jarod Vanderkooi nipped Kyle Johnson at the line in one of the closest finishes in recent memory.

The Indy Mile typically has some of the greatest energy from the fans of any of the AMA Pro Flat Track stops, and those spectators are usually rewarded with super-close finishes thanks to riders drafting out of the final corner to the finish line.
