INDIANAPOLIS (August 6, 2014) - VETMotorsports will be present during the Red Bull Indianapolis GP and the AMA Pro Flat Track events this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. Starting Friday, August 8th, the central-Ohio based non-profit will place three post 9/11 injured combat veterans into three AMA Pro Road Racing Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series teams at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Assisting in the outreach this weekend will be three Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series contenders; James Gang/Hoban Brothers/Blasier Performance Racing, Chili Pepper Racing and National Cylinder Head Racing. At noon that same day 2 combat injured veterans will be placed into the Bonneville Performance / Castrol / Triumph Factory team to assist rider Mikey Martin. The Indy Mile flat track event will also be filmed by a video crew composed of all combat injured veterans. The overall weekend mission of VETMotorsports is to provide this generation of wounded veterans a unique and powerful non-clinical outreach program in motor sports.

“VETMotorsports is looking forward to our weekend in Indianapolis. We'll have Army and Marine veterans from Ohio and Indiana area participating. We will kick off our Friday morning by getting our veteran participants embedded with the XR1200 series teams at the speedway, then head to the Indiana State Fairgrounds. For the Indy Mile we'll be documenting our veteran’s participation within the Bonneville Performance/Castrol/Triumph Factory team. VETMotorsports hopes to have the video completed prior to the last round of AMA Pro Road Racing in September,” stated VETMotorsports Executive Director and Founder Peter Cline.
