DECATUR, Ill. (March 7, 2017) – Kevin Stollings Jr., one of the top young riders in American Flat Track, has announced a new association with DCT/Precision, LLC of Decatur, Ill. Stollings will ride his brand new 2017 Honda CR450F in the AFT Singles class, while helping promote a new patent pending, industrial machine tool accessory called Wedge Bore.
Stollings, the 2015 AMA Horizon Award winner, has plans to improve on his first year pro effort, which netted him fifth (Only four points out of third) in the 2016 GNC2 class. His overall goal is to win the 2017 AFT Singles Championship. To achieve this goal, Stollings feels he will have to ride aggressively and take advantage of every opportunity on the track to be in position to prosper with the new AFT race day rules which demand race craft all day long in order to reach the points paying finals. While his season-long goals are lofty, Stollings knows his best days will come on the oval tracks.
DCT/Precision is an industrial tool manufacturing company. They have developed a new, high-precision, boring device known as Wedge Bore. General Manager, John Lambrick, a long-time race enthusiast, sees the promotional possibilities of Stollings and AFT.
“With the new format and television package, this is an unbelievable opportunity for us to receive national and international exposure for our company,” Lambrick said. “I would think more companies would want to take advantage of a similar opportunity.”
