Kevin Stollings to miss Cycle Gear American Flat Track Finals presented by Indian Motorcycle

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September. 27, 2017) - Kevin Stollings, Jr. will miss the American Flat Track season finale in Perris, Calif. on October 7 to recover from a broken arm suffered from a training accident on his bicycle.

Although it’s been a roller coaster season with injuries and bad luck, it’s also been a year of progress for Stollings. The 18-year-old has made his mark as one of the sport’s rising stars and sits fifth in the AFT Singles points standings with six podiums and a pair of wins – more recently at the Williams Grove Half-Mile and earlier this season at the Red Mile.

Although it’s disappointing to miss the season finale and the opportunity to end the year with a win, Stollings is looking to heal up and come back in 2018 even stronger.

“I’m bummed that I will miss the season finale in California,” Stollings said. “But in spite of all the complications this year, I’ve had a good year. My team and I made a huge amount of progress and I'm looking forward to next season. I'm not sure what my plans are if I'm staying singles or moving to twins I'm going to make that decision over the winter.”
