KNOXVILLE, Iowa. (June 14, 2014) – In less than 24 hours, the elite competitors of AMA Pro Flat Track will be in the midst of Round 4’s action at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. The FansChoice.tv cameras will be up and running by the day’s first practice session set to begin at 11:15 a.m. EDT (8:15 a.m. PDT) with opening ceremonies scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EDT (11 a.m. PDT).

AMA Pro Experts: What to watch for –

No. 1 Brad Baker: Was the defending Grand National Champion’s honorable Springfield performance an indication that he’s locked in again after his lackluster start to the 2014 season at Daytona? Baker’s first race on his Factory Harley-Davidson ride was a smooth one, coming in fifth at the legendary Springfield Mile. Baker enters the weekend 11th in the overall points, way further back than he’s accustomed to sitting, but the Dryad, Wash. product has thrived on half-mile ovals over the course of his career and the defending champ looks poised to get back on top of the box again this weekend.

No. 2 Kenny Coolbeth: Coolbeth will go into tomorrow’s action with more confidence than anyone in the AMA Pro Flat Track arena, or at least he should anyway. The Zanotti Racing Harley-Davidson powerhouse contender not only holds the points lead heading into Knoxville, but he’s also the last rider to win a main event at Knoxville Raceway. When the series visited the grounds in 2012, Coolbeth beat Jake Johnson to the stripe by .506 seconds. Consider Coolbeth a favorite to keep his momentum rolling at the Midwest venue.

No. 25A Shayna Texter: Since graduating to the Grand National Championship in the offseason, Shayna Texter has seen better days. However, don’t be mistaken by her rough transition into the elite class. The female sensation dominated at the AMA Pro Singles level for several years prior to 2014, including two races that she claimed victory mounted on a Kawasaki EX650 in AMA Pro Twins competition at Springfield in 2013. Texter has not only proven that she has what it takes to hang with the boys, but she’s also made her money at Knoxville, claiming both AMA Pro Singles main event victories here in 2011 and 2012. Don’t be surprised if the Willow Street, Pa. product ceases the moment tomorrow aboard her Latus Motors Triumph Bonneville as she’s already proven twice that she favors the track’s layout.

AMA Pro Singles: What to watch for –

No. 24J Brandon Wilhelm: Wilhelm is off to an exceptional start to the 2014 AMA Pro Singles season with already one win under his belt. The Wilhelm Racing Honda rider will compete at Knoxville Raceway for the first time and will do so with the points lead.

No. 94B Ryan Wells: Wells missed the AMA Pro Singles title by a single point last year. After starting off 2014 with a season-opening victory at Daytona, the Albion, N.Y. native will be gunning for a championship, and to do so, needs to place well at every event possible. The Knoxville Half-Mile will be an important challenge for Wells as he currently sits second in the points, yet again.

No. 67M Davis Fisher: Fisher broke onto the scene at Daytona, and the TJ Burnett Farms Honda rider is off to a spectacular rookie season. However, the rookie has only been tested on a quarter-mile track, where he certainly impressed with two top-ten finishes at Daytona. It will be interesting see how Fisher handles the velocity and power of the half-mile oval tomorrow when the lights go green in Iowa.
