(March 21,2012) - On Thursday March 15th, Daytona International Speedway kicked off the 2012 AMA Pro Flat Track season. This would be my first Pro race. Hopping on the Weirbach Racing 450 I entered the short track for the first time ever and I immediately realized that all the rumors of the track being super slippery were very true. After the 1st practice I qualified 13th. With out being able too see any times, we were not sure where to make the changes, so we left everything the same. In the last session, I qualified 33rd. Qualifying 33rd was missing the main show by one spot and I was very disappointed. I wasn't really sure what the problems were because when I came off the track for the last time I was very confident in how I felt out there.

After missing the show I was not really sure how Friday was going to go. On Friday, March 16th, I showed up to the track knowing that it was a new day. Being more motivated then ever, I ended all the qualifying sessions sitting 8th overall. I was more than happy with these results. I was sitting front row in my heat race and felt very confident. I won my very first Pro heat race, and my time was good enough to put me on the pole for the main event. When we pulled up to the line for the main event, I chose the second spot on the line. When the light went green, I got the hole shot and immediately tried checking out and that's exactly what I did. I ended up winning round 2 in Daytona by a full straight away. Winning day two put me in 2nd place in overall points which I am very happy with considering what the team went through on day one.
