CONCORD, Calif. (January 26, 2021)- Rackley Racing will compete in the Progressive American Flat Track Mission SuperTwins and AFT Singles classes during the 2021 season. This will be Rackley Racing’s second full season of competition in the Progressive AFT, but it’s first time fielding two full time riders.
Andrew Luker spent 2020 riding for Rackley Racing on the Indian in the AFT Super Twins class at select events and also competed on Yamaha 450s in the AFT Singles class.
Rob Pearson approached Rackley Racing about a ride after the 2020 Springfield Mile. A program was put together and Pearson made his Rackley Racing debut at the Roof Systems Dallas Half-Mile I, finishing an impressive third. Pearson followed that up with another podium finish at Roof Systems Dallas Half-Mile II the following night.
“When discussing the 2021 season with Andrew he was pretty set on riding the Yamahas,” said Geramy Rackley, Owner of Rackley Racing. “That opened a spot on our team for a SuperTwins rider. Rob had been riding our Indians, he fit in with our team dynamic, he and Andrew talk about track conditions, bike setup and strategy. Rob and Andrew both want the same thing, to win! I am looking forward to helping them do that.”
“It’s really incredible,” said Pearson. “Going out and finishing on the podium our first two races together was exactly what I needed. We finished 2020 strong. I’m taking that momentum into 2021 and I’m getting on top of the box."
“I am excited about this 2021 season,” stated Luker. “Geramy is working with the best in the business to make our Yamahas the best they can be. Feeling confident in what you are riding is half the battle and I am confident in anything Geramy builds. This will be Kevin Keeran’s fifth season as my mechanic, I am thankful for all his help. Without the help and friendship of Geramy and Kevin racing at this level would be impossible. Those two guys deserve wins and I’m giving them to them this season."
