Rispoli Debuts at Road America

AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Pro Singles points leader James "the Rocket" Rispoli makes his debut in the newly formed AMA Pro SuperSport class at Road America this weekend. The young gun riding the NPS Racing sponsored Suzuki GSX-R600 is one of 23 registered riders converging on the Wisconsin road course. Here is an excerpt from an AMA Pro Racing press release issued today talking about the SuperSport class:

"The respective championship leaders from both coasts are entered at Road America but a true spoiler straight from the Flat Track ranks could make things interesting. West leader Tyler Odom (No. 46 Erion Racing/Pro Honda Oils & Chemicals Honda CBR600RR) and East front runner Joey Pascarella (No. 25 LTD Racing Yamaha YZF-R6) and the rest of the competition should have their hands full with James "The Rocket" Rispoli (No. 71 NPS Racing Suzuki GSX-R600) who is making his first SuperSport start of the season. In addition to being a top Flat Track rider, Rispoli showed his road racing talent in SunTrust Moto-GT competition last year."

Rispoli tested today in an open practice for the first time on the new spec Dunlop tires and spec Sunoco fuel. The NPS Team made significant progress dialing in suspension and mapping electronics while James turned in some excellent lap times on the fast 4-mile road course. The schedule has SuperSport racers practicing tomorrow, qualifying on Saturday and a (10) lap (40 mile) race on Sunday.
