Lewis has spent the last few months since Daytona Bike Week racing a few one-off events and preparing his bikes for the next round. After placing sixth and fourth at the first two rounds and being tied for second in the AMA Pro Flat Track GNC Singles points chase, he finished fourth at the San Jose Pro Indoor Short Track. That was a non-points paying event.

In the Springfield TT, Lewis will compete on a Honda CRF450R with DR.D exhaust, Pit Posse hardware and Custom Axis Racing Shocks-tuned suspension. This is the same bike he used in Daytona to earn his career-best AMA Pro Flat Track finishes. Lewis is in a three-rider battle for second in the Singles standings.

This past week Lewis has been testing his new Scott Powersports' custom Kawasaki Ninja 650 flat tracker that he will ride in the Springfield Mile race. All the custom frame work was done in-house by Mike Scott and his crew. It has special flat track suspension from Axis Racing Shocks/Penske Racing Shocks. Lewis is currently not ranked in the Twins series standings.

"I am more ready than ever to race a national," said Lewis who wears number 10 in his One Industries gear. "This is the second time I've competed in the Springfield TT so I have a better feel for it than other tracks that will be new to me this year. I am excited to race the Springfield Mile and get on the groove on a Kawasaki 650. I am so appreciative of Mike Scott of Scott Powersports for all the work he and his crew did on the big Kawasaki."
