Scottie Deubler to begin seventh-consecutive season as AMA Pro Flat Track play-by-play commentator

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 9, 2015) – If it involves dirt, Scottie Deubler is all in with it.

The former Grand National Championship contender raced in AMA Pro Flat Track competition for over a decade before hanging up the leathers and picking up the microphone, only to announce the very same races that he used to compete in.

“I just love the sport,” said Deubler. “I have so much passion for it and I feed off the energy of the crowd at every race. The fans, the riders, the teams, everything makes the sport so enjoyable for me.”

Deubler’s professional announcing career began in 2003 when he started calling Monster Jam races all across the U.S. It wasn’t too long after he began he realized he had developed a knack for it and really loved what he did. In 2009, when AMA Pro Flat Track changed hands to the Daytona Motorsports Group in Daytona Beach, Fla., Deubler became an intricate piece of the puzzle that’s made the series successful over the past seven years.

Deubler, who sported the National No. 43 for several years at the tail-end of his career, gives the fans great insight from a former rider’s perspective while calling each race’s action.

“I feel very comfortable calling a race simply because I’ve been in the rider’s shoes before,” said Deubler. “To a certain extent, I know what they are thinking and why they do what they do and I feel comfortable describing those types of scenarios to the race fans. The fans deserve whoever is calling the race who to be knowledgeable and know what they are talking about, and I just try to bring as much insight and passion to the table as I can for them.”

The 2015 AMA Pro Flat Track season will be exciting to not only watch, but also listen to, as Deubler will be joined in the announcer’s booth by Chris Carr, seven-time Grand National Champion and winner of 78 Grand National Championship main events throughout the course of his astounding 26-year career.

Between the two veterans calling the show, and with the addition of Dani Medin as the series’ pit reporter, race fans are in for a treat beginning with the season-opening doubleheader event weekend in Daytona.
