Sacramento, Calif. - Circle Bell Motorsports and AMA Pro Flat Track are happy to announce that they have arranged for additional contingency and a higher purse to be paid at the AMA Pro Sacramento Mile presented by Miller Lite and brought to you by Greg Padilla Bail Bonds and SDI Insulation.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company will post an extra $3,500 in contingency payments to the Grand National Twins Class at this round of the AMA Pro Flat Track presented by JP Cycles. The winning rider aboard a Harley-Davidson will earn $4,500 with additional contingency payments down to tenth place.

“Racing is a hard business on and off the track and we respect the toughness it takes to compete in the AMA Pro Grand National Twins class, so we’re pleased to be able to extend some additional financial assistance at the Sacramento Mile to the racers who support the Harley-Davidson brand,” said Harley-Davidson Racing Manager Kris Schoonover.

In addition to the extra contingency from Harley-Davidson, Eddie Mulder’s West Coast Vintage Dirt Track Series’ sponsors, Mark and Ron Zimmerman, Rod Lake Racing, Barnett Clutches and Cables, and Motion Pro will provide another $9,000 to be added to the purse money.

“As a rider myself, it was always a struggle to travel to and from the race,” said Bob Bellino, president of Circle Bell Motorsports. “Our goal is to provide not only an exciting and quality experience for the fans and sponsors, but to take care of our riders.

“I would really like to thank Harley-Davidson, Circle Bell Motorsports and all of their sponsors for stepping up and making this happen,” said Dan Johnsen, Director of AMA Pro Flat Track. “The Sacramento Mile is one of the most prestigious events on the schedule every year and this will up the stakes and make the event that much more intriguing.”
