Known as the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile” Volusia Speedway Park is lauded as one of the best dirt tracks in the country. Hosting its 12-night DIRTcar Nationals event each February, Volusia Speedway Park is a landmark location for sprint car and late model racing fans.

Hosting its inaugural AFT event with the season-opening Volusia Half-Mile presented by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys doubleheader July 17 & July 18, fans can look forward to high-speed, wheel-to-wheel action from the athletes of the sport.

"The track is moderately banked and wide, allowing for multiple racing groves," said Joey Mancari, Chief Competition Officer of AFT. "Unlike many dirt car tracks that have a red clay surface, Volusia has a brown gumbo type clay surface. The D-shape of the track makes the entrance to the turns distinctive." 

With this wide, moderately-banked surface, this racetrack provides the riders the space to find multiple racing lines as they charge forward. Learning to pass on this fast track will be key as AFT's toughest athletes make their first attempts this season in the quest to snatch a top position in the points standings.
