Few racers have debuted on the Progressive American Flat Track scene with so much widespread anticipation as Estenson Racing Yamaha superstar Dallas Daniels. Fewer still have so thoroughly exceeded those associated expectations.
After becoming the first rider to win the Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Award in both flat track in roadracing in 2018, the countdown to his 16th birthday was on throughout the opening half of the 2019 season.
Once he was finally old enough to participate, Daniels immediately made up for lost time and lived up to all the hype.
Weeks after scoring his maiden MotoAmerica Junior Cup victory, Daniels kicked off his Parts Unlimited AFT Singles career with a solid 11th-place result. He was only just getting started, finishing inside the top five in his third race, and then flat-out dominating the Peoria TT.
Daniels added two more podiums to his 2019 haul and came within a handful of points of breaking into the championship top ten despite not being allowed to compete until the season was half over.
In his first full season as a professional, Daniels established himself as one of the sport’s brightest stars regardless of class. He completely dominated the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles championship fight in 2020, winning more than half the races and registering a six-race win streak en route to an early title wrap.
He then became the first rider to ever win the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles title back-to-back with a four-victory, ten-podium campaign in 2021. And in his spare time, he also racked up three wins and four podiums in limited Mission Production Twins duty.
Daniels stepped up to the top level of the sport in 2022 and immediately proved to be a Mission SuperTwins race winner and championship contender against the world’s best racers as a rookie.
He took the next step forward in 2023, registering one of the most complete seasons any rider has authored in recent memory. In just his second season in the premier class, Daniels won five races while earning 15 podiums in 18 rounds with no results outside the top five. His speed and consistency were so great, in fact, it required a career year from one of the sport’s unquestioned all-time greats Jared Mees to deny him the crown.
Daniels begins the 2024 season focused on accomplishing the mission he’s targeted his entire life: to become Grand National Champion.
