Jacob Lehmann is just about as pure of a discipline specialist as one will find in Progressive American Flat Track racing. While he’s certainly quick enough to make Main Events and score points on ovals, Lehmann is a genuine podium threat whenever he turns up for a TT. Hailing from the same Northwest stomping grounds that produced the likes of Joe Kopp, Brad Baker, JD Beach, and Sammy Halbert, Lehmann got his first motorcycle when he was four years old and started dirt track racing that same year. Over time, his focus shifted to supermoto where he developed into one of the top racers in the XTRM/AMA Supermoto Lites series. In 2012, Lehmann returned to flat track and got his Progressive AFT license just ahead of the Castle Rock TT. Flexing his supermoto skills, the Washington native promptly went out and won the very first Parts Unlimited AFT Singles Main Event he entered. He then proved that triumph was no fluke by winning on the undercard again at the iconic Peoria TT in 2014. Lehmann continues to excel at Progressive AFT TT events, consistently logging top tens and occasionally faring considerably better than that. He’s finished on the podium as recently as 2018’s Buffalo Chip TT, where he applied heavy pressure to eventual winner Ryan Sipes all the way to the checkered flag. Lehmann proved he still has top-ten speed in 2022, finishing eighth at the Castle Rock TT venue he first made his memorable Progressive AFT debut ten years prior.
