Former childhood BMX and go-kart star Billy “the Kid” Ross is now determined to make it at the top level of Progressive American Flat Track.
With a long list of amateur dirt track accomplishments behind him, Ross made his professional debut in 2021. Ross flashed his potential on a number of occasions, most notably when he finished seventh in the AFT Singles Main at the Peoria TT.
He stepped up his game considerably in his sophomore campaign, finishing fourth in the Mission Production Twins championship standings, highlighted by a dramatic maiden professional victory earned at the Laconia ST.
Ross graduated to the Mission AFT SuperTwins class in 2023 and logged 11 points-paying finishes, including a sixth-place finish at the Orange County Half-Mile.
He registered perhaps the most attention-grabbing ride of his young career to date in ‘24, finishing fourth aboard a Kawasaki 650 Ninja at the Orange County Half-Mile, missing out on maiden premier-class podium by a scant 0.002 seconds.
