Year after year, Ryan Sipes continues to add to his first-ballot AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame résumé. Extraordinarily versatile and adaptable, Sipes was once “merely” known as a race-winning supercross and motocross ace. However, he’s since branched out across two-wheeled sport and established himself a winner in a wide range of dirt-based disciplines. Sipes made history in 2015 when he became America’s first-ever ISDE overall winner. He followed that up by competing in SX, MX, AFT, GNCC, hill climb, sprint enduro, Straight Rhythm, and even the brutally difficult Erzbergrodeo Red Bull Hare Scramble hard enduro. Spies added Progressive American Flat Track to his already packed slate in 2018, and made even more history by reigning supreme in the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles class at the Buffalo Chip TT. If that wasn’t good enough, he returned in 2019 and did it again in even more convincing fashion. Sipes’ continued adventures have been chronicled in a popular web series produced by Red Bull Motorsports dubbed “General Sipes.”
